What Customers Actually Receive

No generalities. This section explains exactly what happens when you create an account, what your private dashboard does, what you can customize, what your public website looks like, and which tools you can use — with anything still in development identified as such.

Your account — where it starts

Creating a GENESIS account gives you a private workspace that belongs to your business alone. During this private preview, registration is protected by an access code, so accounts are created deliberately — public sign-up opens later.

Secure sign-in

You sign in with your email and a password that is stored only as a strong cryptographic hash — never as readable text — with protected sign-in sessions.

Private by default

Your businesses, customers, and records are separated from every other business on the server itself. Another account cannot see your information — the separation is enforced, not promised.

Yours to control

You decide what is created, what is customized, and what is published. Nothing about your business goes public without your action.

For example: a braider registers, signs in, and lands in an empty workspace that belongs to her alone. She creates her business, and from that moment her website drafts, bookings, and customer records live behind her sign-in — and no one else's.

Your private dashboard — panel by panel

The dashboard is where your business is managed day to day. Each panel does one job, in plain language:

Overview

Your business at a glance: today's schedule, the week ahead, and revenue computed live from your own bookings and orders.Open it in the morning and see the whole day.

Bookings

Every appointment — the service, the customer, the date and time, and its status. Confirm, manage, or cancel; a cancelled time becomes available again.

Services

Your menu: each service's name, description, duration, and price. Edit anything, and your website and booking page reflect it right away.

Working hours

The week your bookings obey. Set opening and closing times per day, or close a day entirely — closed days simply never appear as booking options.

Customers

A record for every customer, created automatically when they first book, holding their details and their full history with your business.

Orders

Orders and custom orders, each with a status you advance — requested, in progress, ready, completed — so nothing is ever lost in a message thread.

Portfolio

The pieces of work you show the world. Add and arrange portfolio items here; they appear on your public website.

FAQs & Support

Write the answers to the questions customers always ask. Your website assistant answers from these — in your words, from your facts.

Website & settings

Your website's identity and state: name, tagline, about text, template, accent colour, and whether it is a draft or published.

What you can customize

Customization is not a finishing touch on GENESIS — it is the normal way of working, available before and after you publish:

Identity

Your business name, tagline, and about text, written the way you would say them.

Look

A choice of website templates — two designs in the current preview — and an accent colour drawn from the GENESIS palette.

Offerings

Services and offerings with your own names, prices, durations, and descriptions.

Schedule

Working hours for each day of the week, changed whenever your life changes.

Content

Portfolio pieces and the FAQ answers your assistant gives on your behalf.

Visibility

Draft or published, at any moment. Publish when you are ready; keep refining while you are not.

Your public website — what visitors see

Every business on GENESIS receives its own public website at its own GENESIS address. This is the storefront your customers experience:

Your presentation

Your business name, tagline, and story, presented in a polished design your customers can trust.

Your offerings

Your services, with their prices and durations, presented clearly so customers know exactly what they are booking.

Your proof

Your portfolio — the work itself, shown beautifully, doing the persuading for you.

Your front desk

A booking flow that offers only times you genuinely have, order requests for custom work, and an assistant that answers routine questions from your FAQs.

For example: a baker's published website presents her cakes and celebration portfolio, lists her services with their prices, and offers booking times only on the days she actually bakes — while she is busy in the kitchen, not watching a screen.

The demonstration — no account needed

Before accounts, there is the demonstration — the fastest way to understand GENESIS. It runs in your browser on clearly labelled sample data:

Sample businesses

Two demonstration businesses with their own booking pages, services, and hours, ready to explore.

A working owner dashboard

Change a price, close a day, then book as a customer in the same browser and watch the booking and revenue respond.

Automated creation, previewed

Describe a business in your own words and watch GENESIS draft its website and toolset — the same creation experience, in demonstration form.

Honestly labelled

Every business, customer, and figure in the demonstration is fictional sample data, stored only in your browser and resettable at any time.

Working Quietly

The Power of Automation

So much of running a business is repetitive administration — the same questions, the same scheduling, the same records, kept again and again. GENESIS aims to carry that weight, so owners can spend their attention on the work only they can do.

Automated today

Website setup — your draft website, starter content, and recommended tools are generated from your description.

Booking workflows — available times are calculated from your hours and existing bookings, and double-bookings are prevented automatically.

Customer records — a profile is created the moment a customer first books, and their history builds itself.

Business organization — schedules and revenue totals are computed from your records, always current, never re-typed.

Customer assistance — routine questions are answered from your FAQs, services, and hours, any time a customer asks.

Automation on the way

Confirmations and reminders that send themselves, marketing that works from your own business information, and digital products delivered the moment they are purchased — each in development, and each labelled honestly until the day it is live.

Automation can save time. It does not run your business for you.

Business owners remain responsible for reviewing important information and for their own decisions — the prices they set, the commitments they make, the customers they serve. GENESIS is built to help owners operate more efficiently. It does not guarantee business success, and it does not remove the owner's role in their own business. We would rather be honest about that than impressive about it.

The Long View

More Than a Website — an Entire Business Ecosystem

The website is the beginning. GENESIS's long-term plans grow outward from the platform businesses already use — and everything in this section is future vision or work in development, presented as exactly that. None of it is quietly implied to exist today.
